Product Review: Melvita Milky Cleansing Oil

I mentioned before that in the evening I always double cleanse my face. First, I remove all my make up and then I use cleanser to really get inside the pores for that proper squeaky clean feeling. Few months ago I read somewhere that the best product to use for first cleanse is the cleansing oil as it really grabs on to the dead skin cells and dirt, dissolving it and cleaning the skin effectively. I was really interested in trying it out, but I really wanted to use natural product. Thankfully, Melvita released their Milky cleansing Oil just in time.

This product is a true gem! It comes in a pump - always a bonus in my opinion! The oil is very runny and the smell is not very pleasant, but not too horrible. I can deal with it as it doesn't stay noticeable for too long. What you have to do is apply some of the oil on dry skin, massage it gently to dissolve the make up then wet your hands and massage again. Contact with water turns this oil into cleansing milk. I honestly love it! When you massage it in to a dry skin it feels very luxurious, nourishing and silky. Because of that I really like massaging my face a bit longer, which stimulates the blood flow to my face and gives me a rosy flush.
When you wet it - you can really feel it getting deep into your pores and cleaning them up properly. It removes makeup brilliantly! I tested it on a full face of long lasting makeup and it did the job brilliantly. Then I tested it out on a waterproof mascara - it melted away in seconds! No rubbing, no pulling, no soreness - much easier than removing it with special eye make up remover.
Afterwards skin id feeling very moisturized, but not oily at all. It feels fresh and clean and sometimes I feel that I do not need to wash my face for the second time.
It has to be used within three months, which supports the statement that 100% of the total ingredients in this product are from natural origin. Truly wonderful product - I definitely recommend it to everyone. From now on this oil and Trilogy's Cream Cleanser is my favorite face wash duo to use in the evenings.
Have you tried this product? Or any other products from Melvita range? Do let me know!

Product Review: Michael Todd True Organics Anti-Aging Regimen

Hello everyone! I am so sorry for not posting for so long. I have been extremely busy - I still am actually. It's only 2 months left till my studies are over, so I am overloaded with uni work.
Anyway, here is as promised the long awaited review for Michael Todd True Organics skincare regimen. I have been using it non stop since Christmas and I can honestly say that my skin never felt or looked better. In three months I didn't have a single breakout - NOT A SINGLE ONE!!! That's new for me. My skin is much smoother and acne scars are almost gone. I finally can feel confident enough without make up on. The packaging is also great as they are air tight containers with pumps - sun or air can't get in so all the vitamins and antioxidants can't get destroyed. Thank you so much Michael Todd for great products!

Here are the products that are included in a kit:

Skin Defender AHA Cream Cleanser

This cleanser is creamy, with slightly sweet scent. I like the pump packaging - very hygienic and comfortable to use. It cleans well, but not so well like Trilogy's Cream Cleanser. It is not drying at all - on a contrary, it actually feels a tiny bit greasy. It's like if you used oil on your face and then trying to wash it off. I always double cleanse, so I use it first and then Trilogy's cleanser afterwards, which helps to get rid off that feeling. I haven't tried other cleansers from MT and I heard that honey and oat one is quite good, so who knows. I think I will not repurchase this one - I like Trilogy way better.

Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti Aging Toner

This one is lovely. It has sweet smell of cranberries and it is truly moisturizing and soothing. It refreshes the skin, it feels very moist and supple. Loved it! I used to use toners religiously, but then I stopped and noticed that there is no difference, so they are not essential. If I would be buying these products separately I wouldn't buy the toner, but as it was included in a set I gave it a go. It is prefect for dry skin and I really enjoyed using it.

Pearl & Silk Facial Mask

This is quite pretty one - it is a clear gel with slight shimmer from peals. I use it 2-3 times a week applying for 15 min. it dries to a tight film on your face then just wash it off. It doesn't tingle or irritate, but it does contain amino acids so it provides gentle exfoliation. It is hard to see immediate effect from this mask, but it does help to clear up the pores and hydrate the skin. I also like the fact that this mask comes in a pump - makes all the procedure mess free. It feels very gentle, so if you want to treat your skin without harsh effects this one is for you.

Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment

I am quite confused about this one. I hate runny lotions or gels for eyes - I prefer my creams thicker and reacher, especially because I have dry skin around my eye area. I usually warm the product between my ring fingers before applying it. This one comes out as a nice and rich cream, but when you spread it it turns to oil. It is tricky to spread it between fingers and I completely don't like that! It is also in a pump, which makes it easier to get the product out. It moisturizes extremely well - the skin around my eyes is hydrated and supple all day long. I can't comment on anti-aging properties as I have no wrinkles yet. My concern are horrendous dark circles and this cream does nothing to tackle this problem. Overall, it is very nice if you have dry skin.

Liposome Antioxidant Moisturizer with DMAE and Hyaluronic Acid

This moisturizer is brilliant!!! It completely transformed my dehydrated skin. Prior to that I was suffering with dry patches on my face for six months. I cannot stretch enough how much I love the fact that the product comes in a packaging with pump! No mess, no fuss, no waste of product. I do must warn you - this cream is a huge No No for oily skin. It might be too rich and too greasy for this type of skin. I have combination skin and I feel that in hot summer I will need something lighter. For colder months - it is perfect. It hydrates, makes my skin glow, doesn't break me out and helps even out the texture of the skin. Love it.

Hyaluronic Acid + C Antioxidant Moisturizing Serum

Another brilliant product. It is refreshing and very light and you can actually feel it getting deep in to your skin. Vitamin C is great - because of this serum my acne scars faded for 90%!!! I only have two tiny spots left. My skin feels brighter, fresher, smoother and soft to touch. I finally got my glow back! And did I mention the pump? I love that all products come in packaging with pump. Great!!!

In addition to those product I also bought separately:

Rose Petal and Vitamin C Gel Facial Mask

Clear gel that smells like roses. You have to apply it for 10 min and use it in intervals of two weeks. It has 10% of glycolic acid, so it is quite strong. It smooths the skin, gets rid off the dead skin cells and clears the pores. Skin is looking fresh, clean, smooth and hydrated. Great one to use once in a while.

Tropical Fruit Scrub

Oh God, this one smells so delicious!!! Every time I used it I had to restrain myself - the wish to eat it was too strong. I love the texture - exfoliating beads are very gentle, but at the same time very effective. It doesn't feel harsh and there is no taught and dry feeling. Wonderful product! I did use the sample of the Charcoal scrub and I did like the fruity version much better.

My Favorite TV Shows

Well, this is probably not the usual post you will see on any blog. Anyway, I wanted to share that with all of you - just for fun. Now, it may seam a lot, but don't get me wrong - I am not addicted to TV and I don't spend my whole time watching those shows. I prerecord them/buy them on dvd and then watch when I have a free time or when I want to relax. So here is the list of my favorite shows:
  1. The Big Bang Theory

In my opinion - THE best TV show ever!!! At first, for some reason, I thought it is a documentary about physics... Boy, was I wrong. It's funny, witty and never stops surprising. Me and my husband decided to get the box set of DVDs and now we watch all seasons over and over again. Currently there is season 6 on TV and I hope they will never stop!

2. 2 Broke Girls
This is great, too. Very funny, with a good story. Ever wondered what would happen to Pris Hilton if she would loose ALL her money? Watch this and you will get some ideas.

3. Revenge
Keeps me on the edge of my seat. Not the comedy show - more of a suspense thriller. Amazing - very sophisticated and so clever!

4. Grimm
I love this one, too. I am a big fan of science fiction and fantasy. Here, all monsters from the stories/fairy tales are living among us, with only one person being able to see them for who they truly are. Brilliant! I love Monroe - the funniest guy in the show.

5. Once Upon A Time
Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Captain Hook and others are in this modern day fairy tale. Evil queen cursed everyone and send them to our wonderful world to suffer. In addition to that, none of them can remember who they were in the fantasy world. That is until someone will break the curse... Which it will. Now there is a season 2 and a different story. Very good and interesting show.

6. Person Of Interest
This one is brilliant as well. More of a spy/detective going on. Hard to explain, but it is really good. If you like movies like Mission Impossible and so on - this one is for you.

7.Melissa and Joey
I thought this one will be stupid, as before I had a chance to see those two in action and I wasn't impressed at all. This, on the other hand is amazingly funny. The humor is never ending, the sarcasm is wonderful and Joey is hot - what else can I say?

8. Rizzoli and Isles

Now, this is more of a CSI type of show, which I love! the good thing is that it is not too serious- there is an equal dose of drama and humor, with humor being the biggest dose.

9. CSI (Las Vegas)
Now that I mentioned CSI in previous point I have to talk about it. Actually it should be on the list before Rizzoli. I remember watching this with my parents when I was still attending the school! Now, there are different versions of it - New York, Miami (which I totally hate!!!). Only Las Vegas in my point of view is worth watching. The smartest show on TV. In addition to that, I learned many things from that show, so it is worth watching.

10. Body Of Proof
Very similar to CSI and Rizzoli and Isles. Not so funny as others, but still very smart and engaging. Another point I love about it is Dana Delany - she is nearly 60 and looks absolutely hot! And her wardrobe in the show is to die for!

11. Revolution
This is a new one, started this year and at first I wasn't sure, but now I am hooked. Imagine modern day world and suddenly all electricity is gone... Forever... What would you do? How would you adapt? Watch this and see what others did. Smart and interesting, although the girl is sooo annoying....

12. Drop Dead Diva
It is on a break now and I can't wait for a new season! Imagine you are Victoria's Secret model (just imagine), then you suddenly die in an accident and came back to life as Rebel Wilson (no offense, please). Well, this is the case here. Apart from Deb (the main character) ending up in Jane's body, the other great thing is she got her brains too ( and Jane was super smart lawyer). Very easy to watch, it is funny, smart, full of valuable life lessons and simply sweet.

13. Hart Of Dixie
This one is for girls only. My husband is watching all the shows listed above with me, apart from this one. There is romance, comedy and a bit of drama. Very good when you want to get distracted and watch something light

14. Vampire Diaries
Well, it can't be without vampires, right? I don't even know if I need to explain this choice. Everybody knows it. I love it - all I can say.

And something more...

Ringer
It was amazing show! I just love it. It was so clever. Unfortunately, they dropped it after the first season... It always happens with good shows - they replace them with something crap, like Celebrity Big Brother or Jersey Shore...

Alphas
It was great as well, but survived only 2 seasons. Today I read in the news that Syfy dropped it. I mean, how can you drop it after such an epic finale in season 2????

Alcatraz

As well, survived only the first season. WHY?!?!?!? It was amazing! And they never got the chance to explain the mystery... Oh well...

Secret Circle

Again - WHY?!?!? Only one season was aired... Basically, they were teasing us the whole time.... Another mystery we will never resolve...

Well, the list was very long - I warned you! :)

Feel free to share with me your favorite shows if you have any!

Coming soon...

I recently discovered completely new brand of natural and organic skincare - Michael Todd True Organics. I was doing a lot of research about the products and brand itself - all results were really positive. I was so excited and anxious to try it, that my husband ordered for me this Anti-Aging skincare regimen and in addition one more face mask.
I did get in touch with MTTO and they recommended products which are suitable to my skin type, based on the facts that I provided in our correspondence. So, when I was thinking about ordering the products, I noticed that almost all of them are in this set. The set itself was cheaper and at that moment on the promotion, so we ordered that. Now that I used up all my old creams and potions I am going to try this regimen and see how it goes. I did get 4 additional samples (of really generous size) and I loved them!
I will report back in a month or so. In the meantime, if someone has already tried some products from this brand, please let me know, I will be happy to hear your thoughts.

Product Review: Trilogy Cream Cleanser

Hello everyone! Sorry for so long absence - too much to do and too little time... Anyway, today I wanted to share with you my review of this little beauty. I am sure that there are many reviews of this cleanser, however, I want to share my opinion as well.
I was looking for a natural cleanser, that also removes the make up. I can across this one in my local Boots store and decided to try it.
The cleanser comes in a very nice glass bottle with a pump (which always gets a thumbs up from me!) Packaging, although simple, still looks very nice and respectable on my bathroom shelf. The consistency is very creamy, but not runny - more of a lotion or light cream. It has a slight rosehip smell and on a contact with skin it  melts and feels really nice, creamy and moisturizing. When you massage it on your skin you can actually feel how it is getting deep inside the pores and cleans the skin. One of the best points is the fact that it doesn't dry out the skin at all- it feels very moisturized, without leaving a tight feeling or some oily residue.
One thing that really surprised me was the fact that it makes the skin very smooth. It feels like you just had a peel/microdermabrassion or just used a face scrub - very soft, smooth and even.  It removes all make up brilliantly. I am not sure how it will work with mascara - as I always remove my eye make up prior to washing my face, but it does remove the traces of mascara that my eye make up remover failed to clean up. I tried few times to go over my face with a toner to see whether some traces of make up were left - the cotton ball always stays perfectly clean!
I noticed that with continuous use my skin condition improved significantly. The texture of the skin is much smoother. Breakouts are a rare sight on my face now. Acne scars are fading as well. Skin has a very healthy glow and the best thing - I finally got rid off my blackheads on my nose! None of the solutions, even the ones that are specifically designed for that, were unable to do that. Now I have clean pores! I couldn't be more happier!
I must say I am impressed. At first I was hesitant on trying this product, but I really wanted to try natural cleanser. I was attracted by ingredients:
Aqua (Purified Spring Water), Glycerin, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Wheat Straw Glycosides & Cetearyl Al, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Oil, Ormenis Multicaulis (Chamomile Flower) Oil, citrus aurantium amara (bitter orange) flower, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum, Citral, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, *Components of Natural Essential Oils

Not bad, right? Overall, I will say this is the best cleanser that I have ever used. When I'll finish my current bottle i will definitely repurchase it. It is £22.50, but 200ml bottle is huge and a little goes a long way. Anyway, based on the results I would say it is worth the money you pay for it.

Has anyone tried this cleanser or any other products from Trilogy? Let me know what you think about them!

Ideas for Summer Wedding

This summer I will have two major events - my University graduation and the next week after that my younger sister's wedding. That means two things - I have to make sure my body is in tip top condition and I need two brilliant outfits to show it off.
Now I am on a health kick since the beginning of the summer and last week I finally signed up for gym membership, where I go as often as possible to run on the windmill. Call me lazy, but with horrible UK weather it is impossible to run outside - and I don't have a wish. The gym however, is a very good option - it is in the same building as my flat - just two levels below my flat. So there is no weather threat and no excuse. I think I will be looking for an outfit closer to the summer, as at the moment my weight is constantly changing, so it is too early to shop for a new wardrobe.
Now for the ideas - I have many, mostly inspirations out of the Internet style web sites. Does anyone have any suggestions to where I can buy some nice outfits? I would appreciate the advice. Here are some ideas - let me know what you think.

Product Review: Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

This was No.1 on my shopping list recently, as I ran out of my usual product. In addition to that I want to find a good natural version and this is my first test "subject". I paid around £12 pounds for it, but the tube is substantially big, slim and tall.
The cream is more like a gel, with slight yellow tint and gentle coconut aroma. In the beginning it feels like you are applying a honey on your feet as cream feels a bit sticky, but after few seconds stickiness disappears. The gel doesn't really sink in very well and it feels a bit greasy, like you covered your feet with oil. You do need to wait for a while, before walking again, although don't be fooled. Sometimes my feet were still looking very greasy, but they were nearly dry to touch and I could walk without my carpet or any rubbish sticking to my feet.
Apart from all the trouble it is really good. It eliminated dryness and roughness, so my feet are very soft and moisturized. I used to use Avon foot creams all the time, but they never gave the same effect, like this cream.
For a natural alternative I would say it performs very well, however, it is not my favorite. I am planning to try some other brands, before deciding which one is the best.
What are your favorites? Please share, I would love to know.
